2025 RESULTS

Following a review of the 2025 season, including the results of the Provincial Championships, and with teams looking ahead to the 2026 slo-pitch season, the teams listed below have been reclassified.

Teams with an * are classified as a 'Bubble Team'. A Bubble Team is a team that is very close to being reclassified to the next higher division and will be re-evaluated once their 2026 Roster has been submitted for any Event. If the Roster is perceived to be stronger than this season's Roster, the Team will be moved up.

Please note that for our Coed divisions, the Coed team ratings do not necessarily impact individual players' ratings for their single sex play, rather the Team's rating has been changed and if that Team enters another Event, it must play in that division. Any Team that retains six (6) players from the previous year's Roster will be viewed as substantially the same team and must play in the reclassified division. Coed teams are still restricted to having a maximum of two (2) players from the next higher division on their team.

RECLASSIFIED TEAMS FOR 2026

Our review of team performances and overall results is to ensure that teams are competing in the appropriate division for their level of ball playing skills. 

We are committed in our efforts to ensure that all divisions remain competitive, and endeavor to be fair to all teams when considering the evaluation of a team’s division of play -  understanding that an as even and equal a playing field for all players, on all teams, in all divisions, allows for more participation and enjoyment in competition, and serves to help protect our sport and ensure its growth in the seasons to come. 

All Players who were on the Roster will have their rating changed accordingly. 

WARNING - Players who remove or have removed themselves from a Roster to avoid reclassification cause unnecessary additional work for our Rating Committee, and may hinder their ability to review the accurate playing history of a Player, and their consideration of the level of play of a Team. In such cases, a Player's rating will be changed to the higher level, and no appeal will be considered until the next season.  

It is the responsibility of any team and all of its players to know their team's classification and their individual rating.

1)  Any player whose rating has changed as a result of a team being reclassified based on performance, will maintain their higher rating for a minimum of one (1) year. 

2)  Current A division teams cannot pick up any players from B division teams that have been moved up. (This would be for the 2026 season only.)

3)  A player in one division can play only in that division and one division lower. This includes both single sex and Coed divisions. Teams are permitted a maximum of two (2) players from the next highest division on their Roster.

4)  Teams in the Masters and Senior divisions are subject to limits of players that are classified as A, B or C.

In accordance with our Team Reclassification Policy, certain terms and conditions relating to an appeal of a reclassification decision may apply. For example, a team may be able to appeal the reclassification after competing in one, possibly two, tournaments or events in the new division.

Who Can Play?

Registration for the 2025 Play Slo-Pitch Provincial Championships opens on July 9th at 10:00 am.

All registrations for this Event, including payment, are done online.  Team Contacts must register their Team in the PLAY Member Registration System by logging in and going to 

. Enter 'Championship' in the Event Name, then 'Search'. Select the Event from the list shown, click 'Register', and follow the steps to register the Team. 

The deadline to register is 6:00 pm on the Friday of the week prior to the weekend of play.

The Entry Fee for the 2025 Provincial Championships is $575 plus HST ($649.75).  All participants must have the All-Access Annual Pass to be eligible to participate. Payment must be made online at the time of registration, and for the convenience of our Members, we accept all credit and debit Visa & MasterCard, PayPal, ApplePay, Google Pay, AmEx and Discover. No e-Transfers or cheques will be accepted.

Rosters are locked when your Team is registered in the Event.

Event organizers retain the right to update the Schedule as needed, and tournament participants need to check frequently to ensure no changes have been made to the Schedules during the Event. Ongoing updates will be posted in the Play Slo-Pitch Facebook Group, and all participants are encouraged to join this Group! 

Team Contacts can view/check their Team’s Roster for the Event by logging into their Profile at playslopitch.com, going to 'My Team Registrations', and clicking on the Team Name beside the Event listed. It is the Team Contact’s responsibility to have a copy of their Roster.

You have submitted your Roster for 2025 Provincial Championships when the Team is registered in the Event. This is the only Roster that is accepted for this Event. Teams can have a maximum of 16 Players and 2 Coaches.

You may not add any Players at Tournament Check-In, or throughout the weekend of the Tournament.

Team Rosters may be checked at Registration by the Team Contact/Manager only. NO TEAM MAY ADD PLAYERS FOR ANY REASON, EVEN IF THAT LEAVES THE TEAM UNABLE TO FIELD A TEAM/PARTICIPATE.

PLAYERS ARE ADVISED TO CARRY PHOTO IDENTIFICATION TO EACH GAME, OR HAVE THE PLAY SLO-PITCH MOBILE APP. ROSTER CHECKS WILL TAKE PLACE THROUGHOUT THE EVENT.

Any withdrawal by a Team from the Tournament needs to be conveyed by email to the Play Slo-Pitch office no less than two (2) weeks prior to the weekend of play, and is subject to a $25.00 administration fee. NO REFUNDS WILL BE ISSUED IF A TEAM WITHDRAWS LESS THAN TWO (2) WEEKS BEFORE THE WEEKEND OF PLAY. 

No refund will be issued for any All-Access Annual Pass purchased after July 1st.

The Team Contact or one (1) designated Player MUST check the Team in at Tournament Headquarters. Team Check-In will commence 2 hours before the 1st scheduled game of the Tournament.

Please come prepared to register two (2) Emergency Contacts with cell phone information, as well as Hotel Contact information.

The official tournament draw is posted at Tournament Headquarters. Please Note: The Schedule could change at any time. All Teams are reminded to check the scoreboards after each game to ensure that no changes to the Schedule have been made. All Teams are guaranteed a minimum of three (3) scheduled games during the Tournament. Formats may vary based on the division and number of teams, but will either be a Modified Double Knock-Out, or a Round Robin format. Round Robin formats will advance into a Single Elimination Tournament format.

It is the responsibility of each Team to know their Schedule throughout the Event. This includes elimination games!

In the event that the Tournament has to be stopped for any reason, all Teams are to remain at the diamonds. The umpires will contact Tournament Headquarters for direction.

The Event organizers have the right to revise the Tournament Schedule at any time, including reducing the number of guaranteed scheduled games.

The Headquarters is Chippawa Willoughby Memorial Arena located at 9000 Sodom Road, Niagara Falls.

This location features 6 fenced diamonds, in addition to a licensed Arena where refreshments will be sold, along with food and tournament vendors. All tournament information and tournament scores will be available at the Arena.

Absolutely no outside alcoholic beverages are permitted within the Park. City by-laws do not permit the consumption of alcohol or smoking at any diamonds. Offenders may be removed from the Tournament.

Satellite diamonds will be used to accommodate the number of teams in the Tournament. Tournament Headquarters features all of the tournament scores, Check-In, Umpire Headquarters, beer and food sales, along with Home Run Sports who will be on-site with terrific deals on sporting equipment and souvenirs!

The Headquarters for the Coed Big Ball/Small Ball Championships is Sesquicentennial Park located at 11333 Bramalea Road, Brampton.

This location features 8 fenced diamonds, in addition to a licensed Arena where refreshments will be sold, along with food and tournament vendors. All tournament information and tournament scores will be available at the Arena.

Park addresses are available at Tournament Headquarters and on the Play Slo-Pitch website. Please be prepared and allow extra time to get to your games due to construction, increased traffic and any accidents. Games will not be postponed for delayed players. Teams must be prepared to play no less than 15 minutes before their scheduled game time.

All teams should be familiar with the Harmonized Rules available on the Play Slo-Pitch website - these are the Official Tournament Rules. Make sure that your Team has reviewed these Rules ahead of the start of play.

Please Note: There will be no time limit for each game. The Mercy Rule is still in effect (12 or more runs ahead after 5 innings). If the Home Team is ahead at the bottom of the inning, they do not bat.

Matching tops (same body colour) are mandatory. Numbers are preferred, but not required.

Bases will be supplied by Play Slo-Pitch. The Home Team will be decided by a coin toss prior to the game.

A one-umpire or two-umpire system will be used for games in all divisions. The Umpire-In-Chiefs will be located at Tournament Headquarters and will deal with all rule questions or concerns.

The game umpire will check bats before each game to ensure that they meet with the bat specifications outlined in the Rulebook and on the Play Slo-Pitch website. Any bats that do not meet specifications will not be allowed on the fence for the game. Any bats deemed illegal by USSSA shall not be allowed in any games. 

Random bat testing will take place throughout the Event.

It is the responsibility of the Teams to ensure that the proper scores have been posted on the tournament boards. All discrepancies must be reported within 60 minutes of the score being posted. After 60 minutes, all recorded scores stand.

 Both Teams are to report the score to the Tournament Headquarters and ensure that the proper score has been posted.  Remote scoring is in place - Teams can text game scores to 416-708-2148. Information must include the names of the Teams, the winning Team, the score, the time, and the diamond. A photo of the scoresheet also needs to be sent with the text message.

 Both Teams are to report the score at the official board area immediately following your game. The board area is located in the Pavilion located adjacent to Diamond #1 in the Park.

All tournament prizing must be claimed at the Event in which it is won. Play Slo-Pitch will not be responsible for keeping unclaimed prizing from any Event. 

Full teams are to report back to the Tournament Headquarters after the final game has been completed to have a team photo taken and claim prizing. Prizing will not be awarded to players who are not in attendance to accept it. All Teams must agree to have their photo taken.
