Provincial Dates 

The Provincial Championships are open to all teams! 

Teams no longer need to qualify for this championship event. Teams participating at the Championships shall be comprised solely of All Access Annual Pass members. 

Each rostered member must purchase the All-Access Annual pass $16.95 to be eligible to participate in the 2024 Provincial Championships! Team contacts you can view member eligibility by viewing the team.

Registration for the 2024 Play Slo-Pitch Ontario Provincial Championships will open on June 15. 

All registrations for this event are done online. 

Registration deadlines shall be 10 days before the event start date for all events. 

Rosters are frozen when you complete your registration.  Registration for all events is $575 plus HST

Accommodations 

 by noon on the Wednesday before each event. The event organizers retain the right to update the schedule as needed, and tournament participants need to check frequently to ensure no changes have been made to the Schedules during the event. 

Ongoing Event Updates will be posted onto the Play Slo-Pitch Ontario Facebook Group and all participants are encouraged to join this Group! 

ALL TEAM CONTACTS CAN VIEW THEIR TEAM’S ROSTER THROUGH THEIR PLAY SLO-PITCH PROFILE BY LOGGING IN AT 

. IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO HAVE A COPY OF YOUR ROSTER. 

You have submitted your Roster for 2024 Provincial Championships when you entered the event. This is the only Roster that is accepted for this event. Teams can have a maximum of 16 players and 2 coaches.

You may not add any Players at Tournament Check-In or throughout the weekend of the tournament

Team Rosters may be checked at Registration by the Team Contact/Manager only. NO TEAM MAY ADD PLAYERS FOR ANY REASON, EVEN IF THAT LEAVES THE TEAM UNABLE TO FIELD A TEAM/PARTICIPATE.

PLAYERS ARE ADVISED TO CARRY PHOTO IDENTIFICATION TO EACH GAME OR HAVE THE PLAY SLO-PITCH MOBILE APP. ROSTER CHECKS WILL TAKE PLACE THROUGHOUT THE EVENT.

The Team Contact or one (1) designated player MUST check the team in at Tournament Headquarters. Team Check-In will commence 2 hours before the 1st scheduled game of the tournament.

Please come prepared to register 2 emergency contacts with cell phone information, as well as Hotel Contact Information.

The official tournament draw is posted at Tournament Headquarters. Please Note: The Schedule could change at any time. All teams are reminded to check the scoreboards after each game to ensure that no changes to the Schedule have been made. All teams are guaranteed a minimum of 3 scheduled games during the tournament. Formats may vary based on the division, but will either be a Modified Double Knock-Out or Round Robin format. Round Robin formats will advance into a single elimination tournament format.

It is the responsibility of each team to know their schedule throughout the event. This includes elimination games!

In the event that the tournament has to be stopped for any reason, all teams are to remain at the diamonds. The umpires will contact tournament headquarters for direction.

The event organizers have the right to revise the tournament schedule at any time, including reducing the number of guaranteed scheduled games.

The Headquarters is Slo-Pitch City located at 2156 Slo-Pitch Road, Dorchester (approximately 10 minutes down the 401 East from London).

Slo-Pitch City is one of the premier slo-pitch facilities in Canada and features 8 diamonds situated in a beautiful park-like setting. Shaded areas, a playground, a large patio with propane heaters for cooler summer nights, countless picnic tables all over the property, 4 outdoor bar areas (including one with a large TV), Muskoka chairs, wine barrel tables with umbrellas, a BBQ pit, a full-service bar and restaurant, mobile snack and beverage cart, juke box, pool tables, and even a corn hole zone, together with warm, friendly staff, await all participants and their families. All tournament information and scores, as well as souvenirs, will be available at the 'Shack', located on the right straight out from the main building, before Diamond #2.

Absolutely no outside alcoholic beverages are permitted within the park – including the parking lot area. All smoking must be limited to the designated smoking area. Offenders may be removed from the tournament.

The Headquarters is Chippawa Willoughby Memorial Arena located at 9000 Sodom Road, Niagara Falls.

This location features 6 fenced diamonds, in addition to a licensed Arena where refreshments will be sold, along with food and tournament vendors. All tournament information and tournament scores will be available at the Arena.

Absolutely no outside alcoholic beverages are permitted within the park. City bylaws do not permit the consumption of alcohol or smoking at any diamonds. Offenders may be removed from the tournament.

Satellite diamonds will be used to accommodate the number of teams in the tournament. Tournament Headquarters features all of the tournament scores, Check-In, Umpire Headquarters, beer and food sales, along with Home Run Sports who will be on-site with terrific deals on sporting equipment and souvenirs.

The Headquarters for the Coed Big Ball/Small Ball Championships is Sesquicentennial Park located at 11333 Bramalea Road, Brampton.

This location features 8 fenced diamonds, in addition to a licensed Arena where refreshments will be sold, along with food and tournament vendors. All tournament information and tournament scores will be available at the Arena.

Please be prepared and allow extra time to get to your games. Park addresses are available at Tournament Headquarters and on the 

 website. Teams must be prepared to play no less than 15 minutes before the scheduled game time.

Please Note: There will be no time limit for each game. The Mercy Rule is still in effect. If the Home Team is ahead at the bottom of the inning, they do not bat.

Matching tops (same body colour) are mandatory. Numbers are preferred, but not required.

Bases will be supplied by Play Slo-Pitch. The Home Team will be decided by a coin toss prior to the game.

A one-umpire or two-umpire system will be used for games in all divisions. The Umpire-In-Chiefs will be located at Tournament Headquarters and will deal with all rule questions or concerns.

The game umpire will check bats before each game to ensure that they meet with the bat specifications outlined in the Rulebook. Any bats that do not meet specifications will not be allowed on the fence for the game. Any bats deemed illegal by USSSA shall not be allowed in any games. 

Random bat testing will take place throughout the event.

Both teams are to report the score to the Tournament Headquarters and ensure that the proper score has been posted. All discrepancies must be reported within 60 minutes of the score being posted. After 60 minutes, all recorded scores stand. Remote scoring is in place - teams can text game scores to 416-708-2148. Information must include the name of the teams, the winning team, the score, the time and the diamond. It is the responsibility of the teams to ensure that the proper scores have been posted on the tournament boards.

Please report your scores to the official board area immediately following your game. The board area is located in the middle of Slo-Pitch City at the Slo-Pitch Ontario office.
