The USSSA Challenge Cup = The Olympics of Slo-Pitch!
The Challenge Cup takes place each January and February at the USSSA Space Coast Complex, located in Melbourne, Florida. Teams representing regions across Canada are selected to attend.

Challenge Cup Guidelines
Team Guidelines:
Any player ranked as Major in the USSSA players database is only eligible to participate in the Major division. Conference players are considered Major caliber.
Major Division Teams selections shall be divided into Canada West (British Columbia – Manitoba) and Canada East (Ontario – Newfoundland)
Team participation in each division shall be at the sole discretion of Slo-Pitch National with a maximum of 2 teams per province in each division.
Manager Guidelines:
• May 1 -Applications for Team Managers to bring a team. Complete form HERE!
• Copy of Valid passport required with application.
• Expiration date beyond the date of Challenge cup event
• July 1 – announce team managers/captains for each team
• Manager must demonstrate the skill to:
• Select players in a diplomatic way
• Co-ordinate players/team travel arrangements
• Demonstrate ability to work with SPN pre- tournament
• Demonstrate the ability to register your team in the USSSA registration system
• Ability to communicate with players to complete the SPN online waivers
• Managers must sign an agreement to p pay the fees, abide by our rules/code of conduct and SPN/USSSA uniform guidelines.
• Managers are responsible to make sure all players complete an agreement to abide by our rules/code of conduct and SPN/USSSA uniform guidelines.
• Team players to be submitted by October 1 for approval.
• Finalized rosters must be submitted and completed by October 15.
• Finalized uniform order must be submitted by November 1
• Entry fee $1400 Canadian (Includes USSSA entry fee and Uniform) Due November 1.
Player Guidelines:
• All members must be in good standing with SPN & USSSA
• Players must have competed in a designated SPN/SPO or qualifying event
• Players must complete an agreement to abide by our rules/code of conduct and SPN/USSSA uniform guidelines.
• Players are to create an account on the USSSA website by January 15
• All players must complete the waiver on the SPN website by January 15
• If waiver is not completed players may be refused from participating
CHALLENGE CUP TIMELINE:
• May 1 – Applications for team managers & Team Category
• July 1 – Announce team managers/captains
• October 1 - team players submitted for approval to SPN
• Team Rosters to include following
• Name, address, phone number, email address
• October 15 – Finalized rosters
• October 20 – Rosters to be approved by SPN and forwarded to USSSA
• November 1 – Finalized team Uniform order deadline
